You cant download many games on the ipod touch accept from the app store.
Some are free but a lot cost money.
It gets old.
The internet is REALLY REALLY REALLY slow.
It is not worth it. save up your money and get something that will actually last.
My personal recommendation is to get an iPod Classic. They hold a lot more stuff and I also think it can handle more abuse than the Touch as well. If you really use the internet and such a lot do what my friends and I do get a small laptop. Most of my friends have little iBooks they take around and love them! It cost more of course, but you can do everything like I can edit video and audio out some place and burn DVD’s and CD’s of right at the venue! Totally cool!
I think the Classic is about the best constructed iPod too, from what I see and I’ve had 3 generations of these things over the years since the first one! I don’t think you’d be disappointed in the Classic. I’m an iPod junky pretty much, and have like 109 days worth of audiobooks, music and videos on my not full yet 80GB Classic iPod. The new Classic will hold 15 times more stuff than the Touch and believe me if you collect music and videos the small size of the Touch will be full very very quickly! My first iPod was a 10GB and I was always swapping out stuff I wanted to listen to. With my Classic I just let iTunes automatically dump my whole library on it and hear everything.

well if u really want an apple product then get the ipod touch but there r alternatives:
Archos 5 & 7 for example. they r big 5″ and 7″ touchscreens with v gud resolution and display quality (better than ipod/iphone). only probs: they are big = might not fit comfortably in pocket, and battery life is less. but their internet browsers support flash meaning u can play games online or go on not just youtube but several other sites like that. and the 5g has 3.5g connectivity. also they have a lot of memory from 30gb all the way to 320gb. also sound quality is better.
