The money will still be sent to eBay. You will wind up owing PayPal the money if your bank does not have the funds to back up your payment.

They will remind you over and over you owe them money, then eventually send you a letter, then if still unpaid they will freeze your account and send the money to a collection agency.

If after that you pay them, you then have to be “reconsidered” to have your account unfrozen.

hi. you may hate my answer but this is true and correct. when you were going through the payment method, you may have failed to click “more funding options”. once you have a confirmed bank account on your paypal account, that bank account becomes the default. so everytime you make any payment, you have to click “more funding options” so you can then choose your credit card.

since you have already initiated the payment, you cannot stop the attempts that paypal is making to get the money from your bank. paypal is gonna try three times. so your bank may charge you insufficient funds charges. it would be best if you call your bank and let them know that you made a mistake when you were making the payment.

i know this because i used to ba a customer service agent of paypal.

this is gonna get you really angry but you have to remember that paypal is user initiated.

If you agreed to go through pay pal,( don’t care for that and I have done ebay for years. I will not do paypal). Any way, if you agreed to do paypal, you will have to do it. or see if you can do a live chat with ebay and tell them what you are doing. If you don’t get it straightened out with ebay, paypal can sue you. Get on line now with ebay or try calling them. Good Luck.
